Terms of Service

Last updated: 18 June 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Slotera, an online appointment-scheduling and booking-management service ("Slotera", the "Service"), operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The service

Slotera provides small service businesses (such as salons, clinics, and independent professionals) with tools to manage services, team members, working hours and appointments, and to share a public booking page where their customers can book online.

The Service is provided on a software-as-a-service basis. We may add, change, or remove features over time. We aim to provide reliable access but do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for any actions taken by users you invite to your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

3. Subscriptions, billing and payments

Paid plans are billed on a recurring subscription basis (for example, monthly or annually) as described at the point of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Our order process and payments are handled by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com ("Paddle"). When you purchase a subscription, Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for that order, handles the transaction, billing, and related taxes (such as VAT/sales tax), and provides associated customer-service and billing support. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms and privacy notice, available at paddle.com.

Prices are shown at checkout and may be exclusive or inclusive of applicable taxes depending on your location, which Paddle calculates and collects. We may change our prices; any change will apply to billing periods beginning after we provide notice.

4. Refunds and cancellations

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future renewals; you retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing period, after which the plan will not renew.

If you are dissatisfied, you may request a refund within 14 days of your initial purchase. Refunds for renewal charges are considered on a case-by-case basis. Refunds are processed by Paddle.com to the original payment method. To request a refund, contact us at support@slotera.app or contact Paddle directly via the receipt you received at purchase.

Where required by applicable consumer law (for example, the EU right of withdrawal), you retain any statutory cancellation rights, which are not limited by this section.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by: using it for any unlawful purpose; uploading content that is illegal, infringing, or harmful; attempting to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other accounts; interfering with or disrupting the Service; or using it to send unsolicited communications.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service, and the data you collect from your own customers through it, complies with all laws applicable to you.

6. Your data and customer data

You retain ownership of the data you and your customers submit through the Service ("Your Data"). You grant us a limited licence to host and process Your Data solely to provide and improve the Service.

Where you use Slotera to collect and manage personal data about your own clients, you act as the data controller for that personal data and we act as your data processor, processing it on your instructions as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding except as needed to use the Service.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers for hosting, data storage, email delivery, and payment processing. Your use of the Service may be subject to those providers' terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; we may delete Your Data after a reasonable retention period as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or in-product notice). Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Portugal will have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
